It’s the moon in the sky and a lamp down below.

It’s a firefly whose light continues to glow.

It pierces the darkness and highlights the good.

It brings me a calm like nothing else could.

It helps you to see and makes everything clear.

He was that light and has always been here.

But that light didn’t just stay up above.

He came down to Earth to show us God’s love.

His light shined bright in a world full of dark.

He changed the whole world and provided the spark.

He taught us and showed us how we should be.

He died on the cross for you and for me.

He showed us the light so we could go on.

To show the world that God’s never gone.

We’re meant to be different and be set apart.

To be the light for others and that is our part.

When you’re stuck in the dark and can’t find your way.

You follow the light that He named Day.

Treat others with love and let that be your story.

Live your life in a way that brings Him the glory.

So be the light of the greatest one,

So others can find God’s only Son.
